Year 8/9 Girls' Football
Walkden HS Year 8/9 Girl's football team represented Salford in the Greater Manchester School County Final held on Wednesday 28th April 2010 at Ayrshire Road. The Walkden girls won the Salford Year 8/9 League which was played between September and April, and then went forward as Salford's top team to the County competition.
Unfortunately, the girls lost their matches 1-0 to Royton and Crompton and to Tottington, but nevertheless put in most creditable performances against strong opposition. The girls involved were:
