Graphics Products

The students will design and make through the use of a range of graphical techniques, including ICT. Problems will be set which encourage research and analytical skills, followed by ideas and a proposed final design. A range of skills will then be used to produce card mock-ups and models of the final solution.

The areas of study may include illustration, advertising, graphic design, packaging and product design etc. The coursework project consists of a single design and make project selected from a range of exam board set tasks.

The written examination tests the students’ knowledge of materials, techniques, drawing conventions, design use of ICT, social, moral and cultural issues.
