School Information
Walkden High School is situated in south Walkden (Salford - Manchester) and serves the pleasant suburbs of Worsley, Roe Green, Ellenbrook and Boothstown. It has a wide range of facilities, which are constantly being enhanced for the 1,200 pupils it is designed to take.

Walkden High School is a Specialist Language College and five foreign languages are taught to GCSE :
- French
- Japanese
- German
- Spanish
- Russian
One of the features of a Specialist School is the strength of its partnerships and, indeed, the strength of the partner schools themselves.
There is a wide variety of sporting, artistic and cultural opportunities for each school year. Pupils are encouraged to participate for pleasure as well as for more competitive activities.
Sports include, football, rugby, netball, hockey, basketball and athletics. Each year the school wins many local trophies and championship.
