Car Boot Sale Success!
Thanks to all who helped the PTA raise a fantastic £750 at a very successful car boot sale on Sunday 23rd May.
Many visitors attended the school on a beautifully hot sunny day and left happy with new purchases!
The balloon race was also very popular with almost 200 balloons being let off, with the owner of the winning balloon (the one which travels the furthest) receiving £25, as well as the person who returns it to school.
The money raised on the day will go to improving facilities and opportunities for all pupils at Walkden High School.
Particular thanks must go to Orbit Gas and Oil Services, Changes Decorating, TL Electrical, Mayne Coaches, Tesco's, Marks & Spencer's, Novotel, Morris Quality Bakers, and Mr and Mrs Goncalves who sponsored the day and helped to make it such a success.
We look forward to seeing you all at our Autumn Car Boot sale on Sunday 26th September.
