Year 10 University Of Manchester
Our Year 10 G&T pupils recently visited The University Of Manchester; here our pupils met University students where they were given the opportunity to ask questions. They also took part in various workshops looking at why university is useful for job prospects. We looked at various facilities within the university such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and the possible careers they can lead to.
It was a really enjoyable, useful and informative day. The Year 10 pupils impressed the University staff - as usual.

"I hope you and your pupils enjoyed your visit to the University yesterday. I just wanted to send an email to congratulate Walkden High School on how well behaved, polite and lovely your students were to work with. They were by far one of the best Year 10 groups we have worked with and all staff and ambassadors involved on the day commented on their intelligence and mature demeanour."
